Nice mix! It's amazing what happens when the guitars leave room for the bass, yet they don't sound any less heavy. But, the bass comes through loud and proud. I think the Cirrus is a great bass for that style of music.

Your tone is very clear, even though it's dirtied up a bit in a lot of places. Are you using the direct out from the Mesa head or the BDDI, or both?

I used the direct out of the Bass 400 for probably about 80% of the tone, the remainder being from two mics (one a little throaty, one a little scooped) on the cabs. I ran a DI from the Sansamp just in case, but we didnt end up using any of it in the mix. I generally ran the master just high enough to get a little bit of grit.

Getting a clean (not muddy) sounding mix in low tuned metal is a crazy challenge.

You gotta love the moment...when everything finally just clicks. For me, it was a Fender Jazz through a Hartke LH500 and a Hartke Bass Attack through the fx loop

Love the music dude, just killer!
