Tone Control for DIY Headphone/Practice Amp

Sign in to disble this ad
I am almost done designing a headphone amp that I can use for a practice amp at home.
All that is left for me to figure out is the tone control for the instrument input. I am planning on a 2-band Baxandall. Not looking for anything severe, just something simple and appropriate for this application.

Anybody have any suggestions for low and high corner frequencies?

With only 2 bands to play with, stick to the classic 80Hz and 4K.

You could experiment with shifting the centre frequency up or down. Replace the resistor connected to the bass and treble wipers with a pot.
