I'm going to be getting one of these pedals soon, and am going to try it with my QSC PLX 1202 power amp. I want to avoid placing it on the floor, but somehow incorporate into my rack, which is a 4 space. I initially thought I would just place it on top of the QSC, but then I noticed that, since the in/out jacks are on the same side, it would position them to the rear. Not bad for the power amp connection, but kind of a pita for the bass cable. So, I was wondering if any of you guys who use the TH pedal this way, have come up with some creative ways of placing it in the rack ? Photos would be great, if you can. Thanks.

I use the Sansamp DI and let sit on top of the amp. Then pack it up like my other effect boxes...

I have a small 12 input mixer I will be using in conjunction with my 1u poweramp and 1u graphic eq. I think what I am going to do is build a 3u rack (super easy to do) and will cut a "window" out of the top panel so I have access to the mixer which will be velcroed to the top of the 1u graphic eq. Thats the rough idea of it anyhow.
I think you could do something similar if so inclined. Build a 3u rack (2u for the poweramp and 1u or so for the TH) and cut out a window to allow access to the TH. I prefer keeping all my cables in the rack as much as possible to minimize hassles.
Anyway, just a thought.

I've used mine with a power amp before in a 2 space rack. I just set the TH pedal on top of the rack. Worked great.

Not a bad idea.

If it was velcroed to the back lid, where would the lid be placed on the gig ? thanks for all the suggestions everybody. I guess I'll just have to muck about with it once I get it.

You would just need rack ears for your mini-mixer, to attach it to the rails in the lid. |
