What are your guys' top 10 vintage bass amp heads if you can't think of 10 then give me what ya got I just want your guys' opinion :bassist:

2. Ampeg V4B
3. Ampeg B-15
4. Sunn 200s
5. Sunn 2000s
6. Fender Bassman
7. Marshall Superbass
8. Acoustic 360
9. GK 400RB
10. Ran out of ideas
Luck enough to own these all now, and in no particular order, though the GK just may be my fave:
'73 Acoustic 370
'66 Ampeg B15n (combo-but it's got a head!)
'73 Sunn Concert Bass
'65 Vox T.60
'78 Sunn Concert Bass
'66 Fender Bassman
'67 Kustom 200B1
'75 Peavey Century
Love them all for different reasons!
Thoughts on the bassman 135? Ng?
Isn't the 360 a preamp with active cab? 370 the head version?
Burman Pro2000 head (even though I have the 502 combo, and 2000 combo, I'm extrapolating) is gonna be my number 1 for what I do.
Matamp 200 / Ormat 200 (only ever seen the Orange Matamp version, but I guess straight Matmap ones exist, I have a slave version).
Can't go past Jimmy's list. He nailed it IMO.
D-180, Eden WT-330/390/405, Sunn Collesium 300. Not a full list of course, just classics I've owned. Still have a WT-330
Traynor YBA3 Custom Special
Traynor YBA3A Super Custom Special
What's "vintage?" For some of us it's 1965, for others 1995.
Can't count the B15 - it was not available as a standalone head. Rules is rules:-)
Sunn Coliseum Bass
-SWR Electric Blue
Fender Dual Showman?
sunn 2000s, d180, ampeg svt...?
Haven't gotten to play nearly enough of them, but based on what I've either owned or have gotten to use on a gig:
1. Acoustic 370
2. Acoustic 320
3. Ampeg V4B
4. Ampeg SVT
5. Acoustic 230
6. Acoustic 220
7. Fender Bassman 50
8. Acoustic 450
9. Acoustic 140
For me, the Acoustic 370 wins because I can set every tone knob to 12 o'clock, every EQ slider to zero, bright switch off, and it makes my bass sound exactly how I want.
