I just ordered a new bass (Schecter Riot-5, looking to do Bartolini pickup and preamp swap) and i'm looking for a nice sounding amp to practice with in my city apt (and maybe occasionally play a gig if and when that ever happens). Checking the local boards, someone is offering a Trace Elliot 715 SMC for $275. From the pictures it appears to be in good shape - if I decide to check it out, I'll have to see if everything is in good working order. But assuming it is, does $275 for this amp sound reasonable? And what kind of sound could I expect with it from it with my bass?
