There is one for sale local, used only for practice, no gigs, bought new 1995. Asking $250 Is this a good amp for a starter practice amp? I plan to play mostly with synth effects, no gigs. Is price reasonable?

If you like it, then it's worth it.

Answering from the other side of the world here, but I doubt you'd find anything cheaper that has the capabilities. It's not a "practice" amp!

Dynamite !!!!!!

Did alot of research on the TE amps over the fourth, was anxious to play this one. Went yesterday, test drove and brought her home. Excellent condition, for a 15+ year old amp, looks like new. The sound is awesome. And this is definitely not just a practice amp. Now I can't wait for my effects to get here. And my drummer - aka Korg EMX-1
Glad to be back in the synth game via a bass.
