Trace Elliot Help!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi! I have a Trace Elliot GP7-SM combo. 250 Watt RMS, 500 Watt peak. There are two 8 Ohms speaker outputs, one going to the combo's 15. Sorry if I sound like an idiot. I'd like to run more speakers through it. What do you recommend? The 1028h?

Thanks!!

Just make sure the extension cabinet is 8 ohms. You could run another 1x15 or a 2x10 cab and expect excellent results.

Best match would be another 8 ohm 1x15, preferably a matching TE cab. But, fact is, ANY 8 ohm bass cab will work- just not really well. A 2x10 might do, but honestly, matched cabs ALWAYS work best.

OK... so I found a used 4x10 cab online (800W, 8ohms) for really cheap. It's the 1048h by Trace Elliot. This would work?

Never mix a 4x10 with any other single cone. The 4x10 will outclass any single 15.

+1, though, if you HAD to, you could unplug the internal 15 and use the 410 by itself.
