Trade B2RE for RBI?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have been using the preamp section of my B2RE with a Carvin power amp for several months now, but I am considering trading it on a used RBI + some store credit. Aside from the obvious weight loss in my rack, does anybody see a reason to keep the B2? I've never been impressed with the power of the head itself, my vintage GK 200RB can drive my stack almost as louod as the B2 with less than half the claimed wattage. For that vintage Ampeg tone, is the RBI going to be a better option?
