Travel rig

I am looking for some advice, and after reading what seems like the whole works of Shakespeare, I canīt remember where I started!!

Anyways, I travel 6 weeks out of 7, and am constantly moving from place to place. I have recently bought a VM Fretless to take with me when I travel, but now I need it to make noise!!!!

I suppose that the question would usually be "Best .... for travel" but really I am not looking for the best, just something that gives me the following:

Input for bass (obviously!)
Line out to hook up to external whatever
Headphones out
Line in for other "noise" (not extremely important, but would be nice)
Small enough to travel easily with (a bass is hard enough withou extra equipment!)
Under 200 euros/dollars (approx)

Allthough I donīt play bass (usually) with a band, in my line of work (Audio Installs) I usually find myself surrounded with lots of PA systems etc, but very rarely a bass amp, therefore I would like a "decent" sound if I was to hook up to this, but effects are not neccessary, nor does it need to be "THE BEST EVER"

Any opinions, input, comments or insults will be appreciated!

It would also be one of my first choices, if I didn't have to take it on a plane with a bass and a suitcase and hand luggage!!

Thanks though for the input!

So do you just want a head, or a combo? A combo will be tough to fill the bill. Even tiny little ones will be a PITA to go through an airport.

I would be happy even with a preamp, or some kind of pedal, anything that would make it possible to actually hear what I am playing!! hehe!!

I suppose just a head would be the best bet if going for an amp, but it would need to be light and withstand usual "suitcase" travel.

how about a small headphone amp? Pokit Rokit or Vox Amplug. Or, if you want an actual amp, Vox makes the Pathfinder, 10 watts with 2 6" spkrs. Sounds pretty good for such a small thing.

If you want to go cheap: Vox Amplug
If you want to stretch your buget a bit, go for the GK MB-200. All the features you want, and you can power a cab with it later if you need.

Edit: ^iPhone setup looks great too, if you have one.

Korg Pandora headphone amp. That's how I travel. Has built in tuner, drum machine, FX (if you want them), aux in and line out to an amp.

Meets every criteria from the OP, even price. Sounds like the winner to me.

+1 on the Korg Pandora PX5D. It has very decent amp/cabinet modeling. Even though 3/4 of the presets are guitar, there are 20 bass presets, and you can program any of the open user slots to your liking. Another bonus? It can run off USB power on your laptop, and act as an audio playback source. So you can jam along on headphones with your tracks, music, etc. It fits perfectly in a case made for an external USB disk drive, too.

PJB Bass Buddy. May be a bit more than 200 but well worth the scratch. Great headphone amp with aux in, 5 band eq, comp/limiter, and will even drive a cab to bedroom practice levels. Works great as a preamp/DI as well.

I picked up the Ampeg BA-108 last month to take on a trip for $100. It has all the features you want and is small/light. Has a decent Ampeg tone as well.

I donīt have an iPhone, but the Pandora sounds good!! How is the sound when plugged into PA? (I know it depends on PA, but in general).

I also saw the pandora mini, any experience?
