It only has one Speakon connector, but it does have two 1/4" connectors. Also the output transformer has a tap on it that can be switched to accomodate a 4 and 8 ohm output setting rather than using the factory 2 & 4 ohm setting.

Almost forgot, it weighs 51 lbs.

I had a couple of Traynors back in the early 70s and they sounded great and were rock-solid. I don't know if a high-powered tube amp is a dinosaur in today's market, but I believe this is probably one fine amp.

The real kicker is if it comes in at under $1000.

At 20 lbs less than my SVT-II and with a sweepable mid control, this might be the SVT killer I need to find to part with mine. Plus having so many t00bz and the no frills cosmetics appeal to me.

I definitely need one of these, or at least a YBA 200

* 300 Watt All-Tube Bass Amp

always welcome to the market. the YBA-200 seemed like a near miss, but this looks really promising.

* Delivers Maximum Power at 2 or 4 ohms

It's an all-tube amp, so this is normal - but still very cool.

* Comes Stock with 3 x 12AX7, 1 x 12AU7 and 12 x EL34 Tubes
* EL34 Power Tubes Can Be Swapped for 6L6 Tubes for Different Amp Character
* Player Friendly Individual bias adjust with indicator LEDs for Output Tubes
* Tube Lockout for each Pair of Output Tubes removes damaged tubes from signal path allowing amp to continue operation in emergencies)

love it! especially the tube lockout feature. OOPS! I "accidentally" pulled a pair for more grind!

* Simple and Effective Gain, Bass, Sweep-Mid, Treble and Master Controls
* Deep, Bright, Resonance Tone Shaping Controls

what? no contour? oh, right, sweepable mids. whew!

* Pre/Post EQ DI Output, Effects loop, Tuner Output
* High and Low Level Inputs for Active or Passive Basses
* 1/4-inch and Speakon™ Output Connectors

bummer about the single speakon

* Made In Canada

cool, eh?

That's what I'm afraid of. I like to harbor unreasonable expectations for as long as I can though. Here's to hoping!

Ok, I'm officially interested. 8 ohm operation is a must at 300 watts as for me, it would sit on a single fEarful cube... 51 lbs. I can manage that... If this sounds near as good as it should, my wt800 may be in trouble...

12 EL34's?
I can guarantee you that this amp will be over $1000, more than likely it's going to be over $2000.

I am, however, prepared to be pleasantly surprised.
