Trying to get info on GK 412GS

A bandmate just gave me a Gallien-Kruger speaker cabinet. He didn't want it because the sound was cutting in and out. I took it home and looked in the back...just a bad connection on the input jack.

But I don't know anything about these. It was designed for guitars, right? How does it sound with a bass? Are the speakers able to handle bass frequencies okay? What's the deal with the 2 separate input jacks? Are the speakers wired series or parallel? Something about stereo and mono mode...i don't know.

Thanks for any help!

If it is a guitar cab, then no, it will not be suitable for bass. Either give it back to your guitar playing friend, or sell it to a guitar player.

G-K 4X12 Guitar Stereo.....you might be able to get LOW volume bass from it. That is just a waste of 4 12s though.
