Tube Amp Repair in Ohio

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to get my SVT II checked out. No real problems, just a check-up so to speak.

I’m in Dayton, but would go to Cincy or Columbus if need be.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!!

There is no better place in Ohio, more professional and reliable than Abel Audio in Columbus.

It is an authorized service center for most major brands, and I have used them on many occassions for just about everything, and its top-grade service. No better place to take an SVT in Ohio for service, or any other tube amp for that matter.

They're certainly the most well known and busiest. But they're also expensive and often slow. I've had 3 bad experiences with them, but they're still the go-to place in town. I won't use them anymore. I had Randy Atkins do my last repair. I was lucky to catch him on a day he had time reserved for a no show and he fixed my Fargen overnight.

Hey Bill Im from Dayton and went to Abell on my last repair for my SVT. Not bad, not great. Turnaround was decent.

Have you tried Dayton Musician Services? They were an authorized Ampeg repair center a long time ago. They don't do warranty work anymore but they should be good for a check up.
