two GK Neo 112 vs two GK MBE210

Trying to decide which would be a better combination to use. I would be using the cabinets with a GK MB500 head. I play in 3 different bands with totally different styles of music. I currently own two GK Neo 112 cabinets and they have been sufficient enough but a new project I'm involved in has a guitarist who's amp when he is playing leaves me yearning for more volume. What kills me is my rig has a hard time keeping up with his 30 watt tube head and 2x12 cabinet.

I've been trying to find a music store locally that I could check out the GK MBE210 cabinets but nobody has them. My question is would two of the MBE 210 produce a noticeable more volume than the two of the Neo 112's?

I'm trying to stay lightweight due to health reasons.

I am very surprised to hear you are having a hard to keeping up to your guitarists rig, I push 500 watts through a 212 as well and have lots of head room playing with a metal band with 2 half 412 guitar rigs, one running 120w tube head and my drummer is stupid loud.

Not to say that you won't necessarily need more speakers, but you may want to play around with your eq too. Try to occupy the frequencies that the guitarist is not using. Cutting a little of the bass and boosting the low mids works well for me too.

2 210 cabs (4 10's all together) would be a definite improvement on volume versus two single 12 cabs.

Play around with the EQ first though - less low end below 150hz, is a good place to start.

Two 212s would be better though

I would stick with the Neos. They are a more efficient design, have better tweeters, and are overall a heavier duty build. Maybe the two Neo212s or a pair of Neo115s.

Guitarist must be pretty dang loud if you can't be heard! I run 2 Neo112's with a Markbass LMIII and I'm barely past 9 o'clock on my volume! If I crank it, I'll definitely be heard!
