unique ampeg b4r problem! god save me....

so i've stumbled upon most unfortunate circumstances. and i'd very much appreciate someones help before i rage so hard i wind up shooting and burning my entire rig.

so heres the situation: my current rig is an ampeg b4r sittin with an svt-810e cab. of course normally mono bridging the two. about 4 days ago somehow my top right 10 blew and i've been getting a horrid buzzing noise. unfortunately current debts won't allow me to fix or replace it just yet. so i figured in the meantime i would reconfigure my cabling to only use the lower 4x10 and only one channel amplifier from the head (always weary of not overstepping the handling capacity) figuring this would temporarily keep me busy playing at home while out of gig commision yeah? no....

i resorted to pdf manuals dozens of times and read through the known recommended configurations consisting of mono bridging, dual mono, biamp full/low freq., biamp high/low and such things like that. then read the cabinet pdf to stay aware on wattage and resistance. so thinking it would be easy to figure this task out was waaaay wrong. tried connecting the dots in every single possible way. i've been at it for 5 hours now. somebody HEEEELLLP MEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Not sure I understand, but first, does your 810 have inputs for each set of 410 seperately? If so, run a 1/4" spkr cable from one output on the amp, into the input on the spkr cab that runs the 4 10's you want to use. Done.

if it doesn't have separate 410 inputs, just disconnect the one broken speaker, put it back in place to seal the hole, and use it as a 710. the impedance will only be slightly higher than 4 ohms. i've done it before...works fine.

RickenBoogie the way its set up is it has one input for the upper 4x10 and two for the lower 4x10 for dual mode only, and an input/output for the lower 4x10 for dual mode or mono, along with speakon ports. heres the best picture i could find if it helps Ampeg SVT 4 pro & 8x10 cab connectivity questions/problem
the only part im confused about is i've tried only plugging one into lower 4x10 input, and using only 1 channel output but it still gives both for some reason? im just confused with the full range/biamp and mono/stereo switch sets.

JimmyM I'm thinking that would be the best idea anyways i've never done that but hey i can deal with alittle higher of an impedance

thanks to both in advance
