Unique question, somewhat related to amps

I'm looking for opinions on a good quality battery powered speaker that can play bass well. It has to be easy to carry and rely on batteries. The goal is to be able meet up with my bandmates in the park and be loud enough for us to hear. Don't need it for a gig or anything, just practice. I have one of those VOX mini headphone amps that I can feed the speaker through. I miss my acoustic bass but in reality I never liked the playing the damn thing so I don't want to invest in another one yet.

Note I want it to be cheap. I don't expect to be using it fairly often. I'm not willing to spend more than $100.

fairly limited options- the aforementioned Roland Cubes, maybe a Pignose?

Hi.

Not as unique a question You may think .

A certain season on a certain heavily populated hemisphere always brings it up.

There's really no feasible solution IME. For the price of a decent battery powered amp, You can buy a silent inverter generator powerful enough for a cheap wall voltage combo. + a cart to haul 'em, obviously .

I just picked up the Roland Cube Bass rx yesterday. I'm pretty happy with it. It does just what I expected. The speakers sound decent enough and it should have enough volume to play with acoustic guitars. The added bonus is the Drum machine and built in effects. They actually don't sound like poop.

Have you found a cheap "Quiet" Generator? Around these parts Honda is the only company making one that is super quiet. The 1000 watt runs about $700.00 The reason I'm asking is that I rent equipment for a living. People are always asking for a "quiet" Generator/Inverter for camping and such.

Yes I have, it's an older 600W "suitcase" Honda, not an inverter one though. I'll look up the model number, haven't used it for a while.

Paid 150€ a few years back for an used one IIRC. Got a deal though IMO, they usually go for significantly more.
