Upgrading the inputs on a Eden 210XLT

Sign in to disble this ad
I had a chance to play through an Eden 210XLT recently and really liked it. Not $750 worth however so I found an older model in very good shape for about half. Only problem is it only has Banana plug and 1/4" inputs and I've been using Speakons for quite a while. I know I could cut a hole and modify the input plate but was wondering if anybody here knows if you can get a current input plate from Eden to replace the older style ones for the 210XLT?

Your best bet to get an answer would probably be to contact eden.

I modified my SWR Goliath II plates (1996 units) and just drilled the holes. I have found that sometimes when manufacturers change something as simple as a type of input jack (especially when upgrading models like the Goliath series cabs), they may change the design of the entire plate, including its dimensions.

The Eden jacks are part of the crossover assembly, so there isn't much room to fit a new jack.

The replacement is the jackplate and crossover assembly; when I checked a couple years ago it was about US$80.

Cool and thanks! I emailed their support group but I've never had much luck emailing OEMs with requests like this.
