| | Registered User | | Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Western WA | | | USA built small combo suitable for 5 string I hope to be buying a small bass rig, USA made, that will handle a 5 string, sometime later this year, Kind of leaning toward the smaller combos, but it's gotta be able to carry a clean B. Studio, small to medium gigs, etc. Not a metal head, but I do want enough guts for classic rock/blues with and without PA support.
So, my friends, what 's out there that can handle it?
Looking at all price ranges at this point.

No problem for the B string as I walk up the low C and D to a G chord. Not a lot of headroom with this rig AND a drummer though it work just fine in a small bar. With a drummer in a med. room, you'll need at least a Genz 6.2 12" with an extra 12" cab. IMHO, plenty of headroom for a 200 person room. YMMV, depending on the room acoustics. |
