Used Ampeg 8x10 Classic local - what to look for?

Saw one on CL locally and it's got my interest piqued.

I know it's a newer, made in Vietnam version.

Besides taking a bass and my head over to play it (duh), what do I need to look for? Would it be normal practice to ask to remove the grill and inspect the speakers?

Any warning signs I should be aware of?

*I* would remove the grill, make sure all the speakers were putting out sound, then check all 8 for voice coil rubbing... After that, I'd look the whole thing over for any structural damage...

Put your ear to every speaker to make sure it's putting out sound. I'd also check to make sure all speakers are original. And if they aren't, I'd make sure whatever brand/model they might be are good quality.
