Used Markbass Cabs

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone know of places to find used Markbass cabs, specifically I'm looking for the 121 New York? I've searched here, GC's used site, MF, and Ebay. They are very hard to come by. It tells me that users really love them, since MF lists the cab as a "best seller". I have the CMD 121 combo and would love to add this cab and prefer to buy used to save some cash.........

Which 121 combo do you have, the H or P?

The 'P'. I understand that with the cab I can turn off the tweeter?

I finally gave up and bought a new one after looking for a used one for a few weeks. They do come up on the Guitar Center used section once in a while, but after shipping you don't save much over a new one. I did have a $30 off father's day coupon which they honored, so that helped a little.

Like you, I have the CMD 121P and the extra cab does add some depth, richness, and the possibility to turn down the piezo on the extension cab. I like this set up quite well.

Keep your eyes open, I have seen used 121 NY cabs in the classifieds here on TB. I always saw them too late. They get snapped up quick!

Lucky me. I had a 121p combo on its way to me from a TBer, and the day that it arrived, I went online to leave positive feedback. As soon as I did, a 12ny cab popped up in the classifieds. For once, right place/ right time. They are definitely worth paying full price for. Good luck!

Yes, at today's Canadian/US exchange rate, the Canadian dollar is worth $1.02 US. I'd rather buy a new one from MF w/free shipping.

It has been suggested on this website by reputable sources that when Guitar Center offers their coupons that exclude Markbass products, it would behoove you to take that coupon into Guitar Center.
