using 2 heads simultaneously

Can I?

I have an:
SVT4 pro which is supposed to peak around 1200w,

Peavey Standard 260 PA head, (I like its grit, and chaining a couple inputs to eachother with different eqs obtains some nice effects)

Ampeg 410hlf, handles ~600 watts @ 4ohms

Behringer 115, 8 ohms and rated at 600w (I know it puts out more like 250-300)

So what I'm thinking of doing is connecting the 2 cabs with a Speakon cable, going mono-bridged with the svt4pro into the 410hlf which already handles this decently alone long as I don't go past 2-3 o'clock, and the peavey 260 parallel (i think? maybe it already is parallel when daisy-chaining?) into the Behringer 115.

Is this the stupidest idea in the world? If so, is there anything I can tweak to make it work out?

Thanks in advance, sirs

It could be interesting if you use a crossover to split the signals to the different heads & cabs.

Sounds like alot of extra set up to tote from show to show

ya the svt4 has a crossover out in back, i've never really known what the particular pros/possible cons are with using crossovers though. Would be cool to try, though my main concern is still to make sure that by using the 2 heads I'm not gonna blow anything up.

I don't exactly follow how both cabs will be hooked to both amps all at the same time.

Any wiring connection that make it posible for one power amp's outputs to connect to another power amps outputs, has a very good chance of destroying both amps.

Or are you describing this setup:
Bass-->Peavey then use the Peavey amp speaker output to connect to the 115 cab ONLY.
while taking the "line out" or "pre out" from the Peavey and putting that into the Ampeg which is connected to the 410 ONLY. This setup will work.

DO NOT then, under this setup, try to run a speaker cable from the 410 to the 115!!! That will short the two power amps together and probably will fry both amps.

Gotta agree with mykk, two amp/cab setups is a lot of trouble. I've run biamped and toting/setting gear gets old. One amp with good sound and one cab, that's my goal now.

ya thanks Nashville, I did mean the setup you described starting with "Bass-->Peavey..." , though I was also considering connecting the 2 cabs as you strongly cautioned against, ha.

Ya I agree I might not wanna travel with that setup (unless I fall head over heels for it), but for shows we do in my basement, it might be nice X].
