Using a certain bass amp with a synth...as well as a bass

I have a Laney RBH800, a 250 watt head with 2 cabs (1 4X10, i 1X15) I also might be getting a synth (microKorg) and don't want to have to spend money on another amp for it, because I want to be able to run my bass through it too, and my drum machine (via the synth, so I can add effects to the drum machine beats) In some other threads I have seen it advised to run the synth through the effect return on the bass amp. I've also seen it advised to run the synth at low volumes. It's confusing because I don't really know the answer and, as of yet, have no way to try it...

Oh yeah, and the bass will be plugged into something that will be probably connected to the synth, I haven't figured this part out yet...
