Using combo amp as a head?

Am I able to use my 30watt combo amp and use its line out socket to connect to a higher wattage cabinet? Im guessing if I did that, then the cabinet would only be able to put out 30 watts anyway which would leave this whole post pointless, am I right?

The lineout would be for connecting to another amp to drive another speaker. You could disconnect the wires from your combo's internal speaker and connect them to a bigger cab but you'd still have the same 30 watts the amp can dish out, no matter how much the other speaker could take.

The line out doesnt send any power... will33 nailed it. If you need more power upgrade your amp and cab setup you wont regret it.
