So im getting a 8ohm ul410 next week and while im waiting for the head i want to pop up here. i was wondering if it would damage the cab in any way to run a patch form the headphone out on my practice amp(peavey mircobass) to drive the cab?

Headphone OUT is a very weak/low signal.

You'll need an amplifier to boost that output to your cab.

Right, you won't damage anything, but you won't hear much of anything either.

You can try it just dont crank it off the bat.Start low & bring up the level.
I did it when i wanted to listen to my radio LOUD. Id connect my stereo headphone out to the fx loop return & then turn up the music & shake the house !

I doubt if you'll even be able to hear the cab.

A friend of mine was shocked at how loud his Microbass drove his Avatar 2x10.

Give it a try; you can't hurt anything.

Wait, are you looking to plug the headphone out directly into the speaker? That won't sound like anything much.

If you're plugging a headphone out into the Microbass into the speaker, that'll work better. My friend added a jack to disconnect the internal speaker when he plugged in an external cab with his.

I probably misunderstood you. Still you can't hurt anything, but the headphone jack requires a stereo plug, I think, and will no doubt have resistors in series to cut down the output. Hence, what BassManPaul said.

No damage... but it'll sound very anemic. Very low signal.
