So here's the deal. I'm going to be spending time in Indianapolis and I'll be using the bus systems to get around.

Just want to know what the protocol would be for bringing gear from point A - B.

I'll be lugging my bass, cables, and combo amp around.

Not to worried about the bass as that's easy to carry but the amp is pretty big.

I carry my bass (in a hardshell case) onto the bus all the time. Almost every day. No issues.

As for your amp... what kind is it?

I imagine you should be allowed to bring anything that ends up being the size of a baby stroller. If a woman can bring her kid on the bus, there's no reason you can't bring your gear as long as it doesn't obstruct the aisle.

I highly doubt a bus driver will let you bring anything bigger than a practice amp onto the bus.

I do bus/subway trips w/ my gear all the time. Get a good dolly and straps! depending on your combo size, it's totally doable . . . if it's way big, as sickest beast mentioned, you might be SOL though . . . I travel w/ a markbass minimark

It's an acoustic 100 watt 1x15. Not monsterous by any means but it ways at least 60lbs.

Good to know I shouldn't have any problems then. Thanks guys.
