Using a Yamaha G100 II as a bass head

Is it possible? I plugged my bass into it, while it was running into a Vox 2x10. I got a little hum, didn't crank it, but if I run into a bass cab, can I actually use it as a bass head?

If not, I'll just use it for Jazz guitar. The cleans are amazing.

Yeah, you won't hurt anything with using a guitar head to drive a bass cabinet. The semi-parametric EQ on the Yamaha Mk II series should be very useful for bass, though I personally wouldn't have any use for the distortion/overdrive channel.

That MK II series was the best guitar amps Yamaha ever made BTW.
