In various threads I've seen the advice given to use 2 2x10 cabs turned on end and stacked for a more efficient solution when addressing cab combinations. Does anybody know of anyone making a vertical 4x10? Has this been tried?

| | | | Not sure why nobody makes a vertical 4x10
With wheels, skid bars, and handle it would be a snap to move.
And it would sound great, with good dispersion and ear height.

| | | | I think Kustom put out a combo like that a few years ago...or maybe it was a 3x10.

| | | | Column Speaker for Bass In the late 60s and early 70s, Kustom produced both a 3 x 12" and a 3 x 15" cab. That was in their tuck & roll days. These were, and still are, tremendous bass cabs. Just too heavy for us older guys to move around. Back then, when I was young and strong, it was no big deal. Anyway, they produced some incredible bottom end that would easily compete with a rock band. |

The ease of transport is infinitely different, just get double the resistance rating in 2-10s that you want for the 4-10 stack and chain them. The 4-10 column would be so awkward to move around it would border on rediculous.
The 210 x whatever easily fits in any car. That column would be horrible to transport.
