Almost every show we've played hasn't had PA support, which is why I feel like the move to stacked 210s would benefit me more so. And I just think my speaker setup was really getting the job done. My sound meshed perfectly with the guitar/drums, I just wasn't happy with my tone.

And sorry to kind of hijack this thread by the way lol
Righteous bump. The more of us who go vertical and refuse to be too loud, the better!

Well, I'm vertical with my two LDS 15 cabs (i even stack them the tall way instead of the wide way) so I'm halfway there at least

I really liked them all but I think lean toward 2112. I had just finished learning all the songs on the album when I saw them and I really enjoyed that aspect of the show.

i saw 'em twice in geddy's "parachute pants and steinberger" years*, on the grace under pressure and power windows tours.

freakin' incredible; immaculate playing and sound, they were running around with boundless energy, and on top of that they were obviously just having a good time being their awesome selves.

* or i guess you could say alex's "shoulder pads and pointy headstock" years.

I only saw Rush once...on the Permanent Waves tour. I think I caught them on a bad night, or at least Neil had a bad night. He played with mucho skill but his tempos were all over the place.

cab

I just got a pair of svt210av cabs. I used to own one and kind of missed it. I've been positioning the cabs in various ways but, totally vertical sounds the best. Not the loudest rig on earth but, they actually sound the best when they are up towards their limit and I ran an fdeck hpf3 in my amps fx loop to keep the super low stuff away from them. I may actually use them at next weeks gig instead of my nv610. It's one of those nightmare load in places and I don't need a ton of volume. So, as long as the kick is handling the low stuff through the pa, I should be fine with these two guys. Glad I picked them up.

I also saw them open for Kiss on the Fly By Night tour, summer of '75! First time I saw either band, smallish venue (Lisner Auditorium, Wash DC). Killer show for both bands.

I also saw Rush as part of a five-band mega-show: Ted Nugent, Leslie West, REO Speedwagon, Rush, and Blue Oyster Cult. Don't remember what tour/year that was. All I remember was that BOC struck me deaf and blind with their flashpots.

Sorry for the trip waaaay down geezer lane, couldn't help it. What's the topic again?

Famous German bass player Hellmut Hattler had two 15 cabs,
one cab placed at the left side on stage and the other one at the other side left.
