Very Impressed With the Ampeg SVT210AV Micro Cab

I know it's been discussed a fair bit around here, but I really liked this cab.

I had a chance to play one for about 15 minutes at my local GC, using a MIA Jazz, a Squier CV Precision (the tomato soup color!), and through a LMII. What a big sound that little lightweight cab makes!

It's not going to blow any doors off, but the SVT sound is pretty darn close, and I would bet two of them run by the LMII would be enough for most gigs. And the look is very cool.

I also played the GK MBE115 combo, and it sounded really good too. Super lightweight, and lots of deep lows coming out of there. I know that the MBE 115 cab will be available soon, and I bet it will also be killer.

There are suddenly a couple very good lightweight and ballsy cab options for us at the $299 price point.

Yes..I tried them at GC with the 200w Ampeg head and man! was that sweet. Not sure how much the head factored into the overall tone. Maybe next time I'll try it with another amp too.
