What is GAS?
I sort of know, but I'd like to know EXACTLY. |

| | | | Oh, ****, I think I've got it really bad. Like, REALLY bad. Is it fatal? I've got Chronic GAS.
Is it also "Gear acquisition syndrome"? |

GEAR Acquisition Syndrome...
or..
the overbearing desire/need/urge to try/buy new and different gear.

| | | | Hm, can it be assuaged? Maybe I have it because I have a thirst for tone but no opportunity to actually get better sounding gear? I hope it's not too permanent. Are there any treatments?
Also, slightly off topic but still semi related, I got a new rig, and I'm going to want to get a slightly better cab when I get the money. Would Avatar be a really good relatively low priced brand, or for more than a couple hundred bucks should I just get out and try stuff and pick my favorite? Never mind. I'll stop thinking about it, it's making it worse. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. It's still several hundred miles off. |

Avatar is a good choice

| | | | Well, I only seem to get it when I have literally no way of buying anything. And it seems like it's more of a Choosing thing than an Acquisition thing. I just like lusting over new gear that I probably won't even have an opportunity to get for months or years.
Man, There should be GAS stations that just have a bunch of gear, and you can just go and use it all. Although I hear that GAS prices are rising... |
