Vibrations coming from my cab (Parsek 600F32)

Sign in to disble this ad
I have recently purchased a used Parsek 600F32 cab.
I have noticed that when boosting A LOT my lows (I don't really play with these settings but I did that for test) and/or play at very high volumes, there's a vibration coming from the cab when playing my Low B note(kinda like a rattle).

I tried to use cable ties because I saw that some cables in the cab were just lying around: the result is that now the vibration isn't coming from my Low B note, but from the 7th fret of my 5th string (and a little bit from the 6th fret).

Every kind of vibration disappears if I do some pression with my hand/fingers on the wood panel which divides the cab internally, it's difficult to explain with words so I took a photo (in the photo i didn't use cable ties yet)

Any idea on how to solve the problem?

I think the brace is loose. I'd drive some 2" screws through the baffle into the brace. Be sure to pilot and countersink.

Are they "good vibrations"?

No, they aren't good vibrations at all

I tried to beef up the juncture with some hot melt adesive but it did nothing.
To be honest, this problem seems to appear only when boosting my lows a lot (+15 Db on 40hz and 80hz on my head EQ etc.), while in a "normal" situation I find that I shouldn't encounter any problem (didn't try yet to use the head at its max volume before clip because i'm at home and i have neighbours).

Isn't the method billfitzmaurice posted quite risky? May I encounter a different response from the cab after the modify?
