Try Vintage-Amp Restoration . The owner wrote the Ampeg book and restores amps. Or Ebay.

Yea, I did a quick search on google with no workable results. Try the guys that JimmyM suggested, as He's usually spot-on with anything Ampeg.

Oh yea, If You dont mind post Your findings here so other Peeps like Myself will know where to find'em on the "oh shat I broke/lost a knob on My V4/V2" occasion......

Know what sucks? Somewhere in America, there is an amp tech with a full set of those knobs in one of his drawers, and he'll never advertise them but he has them if someone needs them. And you need them and you'll never find the guy.

Weird how that works...

You could try searching some of the vintage radio and other types of electrical equipment web sites. (the google image search feature might be a handy thing to try searching too). Those exact same knobs were probably used on several other types of electrical equipment back in the late-60's/early 70's...

Forget it. I did a search a while back..you won't find them...maybe on ebay. I have one spare for my v4B.

If someone were to machine them today, they would cost probably $100 a knob. So much for the peace dividend. Try and find half pole pots!

Yes they were. I got one on ebay fairly cheap when I got my V4. It looked newer than the others, but that was the only issue. It was listed as a Dan Armstrong knob.

Been doing some searching, and They were also used on the Dan Armstrong guitars. In the words of Dan Himself:
"Ampeg had planned to build mixers for P.A. systems, and as a result, had acquired thousands of these knobs - the same kind that matched their amplifier line."

I must ask, Where are the thousands of these knobs now?

I don't think Bruce has had any for quite some time honestly. I know it's been listed as a product, but they were out of stock when I bought my V4 and that was 4 years ago.

+1

I've never met a good tech that didn't have heaps of oddball parts laying around and nobody knows what they're all for except him.
