Vox Amplug Cabinet

I have a "Vox Amplug Bass" headphone amp for practicing at home. It works fine, but I don't always want to practice with headphones so I am considering buying the Vox Amplug Cabinet:

VOX | amPlug | Cabinet portable guitar amp

Anybody have one of these? Does it work well with a bass guitar?

I am not too concerned about tone. My main concern is for it to be clear and loud enough to hear, especially if I am playing along with music from my stereo (I know you can plug your MP3 player into the amplug, but sometimes I like to throw on an old Wilson Pickett record through my stereo speakers and play along).

P.S. I read through the multitude of posts on headphone amps. Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on this particular product.

I have the Vox amplug too. I'm thinking that this small cab is better suited for their guitar plugs than for bass.

"Equipped with a 3" VOX speaker and 0.7 Watts of power."

Looking at the specs above I don't see how that's gonna produce any decent tone or volume for bass.

That's what I was thinking. The adds say it is good for bass and guitar, but I am suspicious based on those specs.

Thanks for the reply.

Any amplug cabinet owners out there?

While the amplug works fine, I've one and used it quite a bit before I start to use Amplitube on my iPod. But a 3" cab,... Will not think you will gett any good sound for a bass.

Why is bass better than guitar? Because you can't play 'Hey there Delilah' on bass.
