vox amplug DT770

I want to go portable with my bass. Im looking at the Beyrdynamic DT770 250 ohm headphones with a vox amplug. Will this combination work?

Those phones may not be very loud with the amPlug, but it should work. My fits-in-the-bass-case practice set-up is an amPlug plus a decent pair of JVC earbuds, and that works fine. The tone of the bass amPlug is nothing to write home about, but I can hear my playing clearly enough and get a mix with practice tracks from my mp3 player/phone, and that's enough to keep my chops up on the road.

That makes sense ! Interesting why would it be quiet through the full size phones, not enough power ? If that's the case is there a portable something to power the phones too ?
Or is there a device like amplug that has better tone and volume ?

Because the DT 770 has 250 ohms resistance and is not that efficient.

I recommend the DT 770 32 ohms or Shure SRH 840s or 940s or AKG K550s or just the classic and cheap MDR v6
