VOX guitar amp

today i was on beatles revival band and they were changing their instruments for some song and guy who first played guitar pluged bass into a VOX guitar combo. the sound was great but does "hurt" the amp?

My brother has a vox combo and dabbled with it before. It never "hurt" it before.

That cab wasn't designed for bass frequencies. Over excursion can kill the speakers if you play too loud and/or too low...

Speakers and cab? Yeah, it could work as a practice/small gigs amp...

If you don't play it too loud, or use too much bass, then it will be fine.

The Beatles often used open backed VOX guitar amps to record bass.
