Would this be a decent cab for my V4-b provided it had the right speakers in it? and what would you put in it for speakers? Thanks

An Ampeg VT-22 is a guitar combo, not a separate speaker cab. (here's a pic of a VT-22: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...w=1007&bih=618)

It has a V4 amp section that's very similar to your V4B head, but the cabinet is fairly small and has an open back design so it really wouldn't work all that great for bass duty even with bass speakers installed.

well I found one on craigslist that is a vt-22 2x12 closed back, front ported guitar cab. It is an empty cab so I would haveto load it up with probably deltalite IIs. would it work and how do you think it will sound.

I think we saw the same ad and had the same though . I'm partial to sealed cabs, and so decided against contacting the seller (assuming it was the same post) but I think with the right bass 12s it could be pretty badass.

Corey, the one I found is a sealed cab w/no speakers but all the wires and insulation are still in there. It needs new tolex and is only $60 bucks. Do you think it would be good w/ Deltalite II 2512's? or would you recommend something else. I play with 2 guitarist and keyboards and drummmer, would it hold its own?

That's the one I was looking at as well. I hear good things about the deltalite 2512s and I think that's what JohnK used in his V4 4x12 restoration with positive results so they'd most likely work in this situation.

If I had the cash laying around, that's the direction I'd be going as well. I've been gassing for a vintage 2x12 or 2x15 to use with my SVT for a while but haven't found much. I honestly don't think I've ever seen one of these VT-22 extension cabs up for sale before either. I knew they existed from product literature, but had never seen one.

For what it's worth I'm a big fan of a V4-B with 2 12's.

I had a 2 X 12 custom built to go with my V4-B.
