Waiting on Back-Orders

I recently canceled (2) back-orders totaling over $4500. One was the Ampeg Heritage CL and the other was a Fender Jazz Deluxe ....I waited 6 months and finally I said "cancel". I should have done this 4 months ago. Nothing is worth the wait. Now my tastes and GAS has changed to other stuff (like a RIC ! ). So, my question is what is the longest you ever waited for any bass,amp. etc and was it worth the wait when it arrived.......?

I`ve been waiting for a Fender double bass gig bag so that I can bring me fretted and frettless to practice. I placed my order with MF in late August but got a back order notice right away. Which was no biggie but every time the due date comes up it gets pushed back another 2 weeks,over and over again. I know it`s not MF`s fault,they`re just waiting on Fender to ship it but it`s getting aggravating. I hope it`s worth the wait!

Dude, are you talking about a MIM Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass. Cuz I'm considering getting rid of my P Bass Deluxe to get one of those, but if there's gonna be a back order issue... where are you ordering from? and did they tell you what's holding it up?
