want to plug in different amp into workingman 12 combo

but the cable is a weird size. Never seen it before. Something in between an 8th inch and a quarter inch speaker cable. Will try taking it apart tomorrow but if I magically wake up and have an answer on here my laziness will be vindicated!

pics

the first is me holding what I believe to be a proprietary cable that plugs into the back of the head in an input labeled combo speaker. I believe this to be the main speaker out. I did in fact read that same users manual when I initially searched the internet for an answer to my question. I may have overlooked it but I could not find the answer I was looking for. The second pic is me holding the cable (which comes from the cabinet but I would have to take it apart to get to where it connects) next to a quarter inch so you can see that it is smaller but not quite a headphone plug. I understand needing a pic, it was late night and I was tired and out of energy, hence the laziness. Although I appreciate the help, you don't need to be smug. oh, and sorry for the blurry photos, but I think you can still see what I'm talking about. Stupid camera phones!

I deleted my post--I intended no offense. As for smug, well acting like laziness is a virtue might be construed as a bit smug, too, so let's call it even, OK?

In any case, I had a WM 12 and a WM 15, and admit I never tried to drive the disappointing speakers with a different power amp/head.

However, it seems like all you need to do is build the appropriate cable. As to which is the speaker and which is the amp, I suggest tracking down a schematic. These are disco'd so the schematic ought to be out there.

The other issue is the exact size of the connector. There are at least two, maybe three possibilities, see below.

Dr. Jim, did you have an older or newer WM12?? I loved my pre fender WM12, no disappointments at all. Not blow your head off loud, but deep and smooth IMO.

Yes, it was deep and smooth. The volume was the issue. My WM12 was certainly pre-fender--made in 1998 or 1999, IIRC. I had it for about 2 weeks, and then took it back to Ed Cagnacci at Gelb Music (Redwood City, CA). He let me return it and get a WM15. The WM12 was OK for upright in a small setting, but I discovered too late I needed way way more volume.

The funny thing is that even though the WM15 was louder, it wasn't until I got an SWR Chromeface 350 to drive an sob 1x15 and goliath III jr. 210 that I was starting to be able to function in the blues and RB gigs I was getting.
