So, I'm contemplating selling my current mini rig in favor of a solid combo. As great as it sounds I feel like there's no real necessity for a head+cab if I'm only using a single 112. Of course, I wouldn't settle for something that doesn't sound as least as awesome so I looking for a combo that can at the very least compare favorably with my Markbass LMII and Epifani PS112.
I tried out a Warwick Sweet 25.1 today and it sounded great! I gotta say the name describes this thing perfectly. I actually plan on going back and trying it again with one of my own basses. I found out that Warwick released an update to the 25.1 called the 25.2 and I was wondering what the differences (improvements?) were? Could those of you who know enlighten me? Also, I've heard that the 25.1 doesn't handle 5 strings very well; Is this true? I've played amps at a 1/4th of the price of the 25.1 that handle a B string just fine so I think it should be able to.
