Warwick Tone, Micro Amp

Hello all,

I've been trying to dig up some info on the new fangled micro amps after selling my Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout 12. Tone wise, I'm not sure it was really what I was needing, but my reasons for selling were about utility.. the sound didnt travel.

I've seen many many takes on the new(ish) format class D amps from the GK MB500 to the TC RH450, not to mention all the Mark Bass stuff. I'm really confused by all the options and variety in tonal character. Would anyone be able to offer some advice?

Typical to a Warwick Streamer player, I'm after a tone that complements the Warwick midrangey growl, and feel really drawn towards another parametric eq like my boogie had. I'm also drawn to a head / 2x10 cab option rather than a combo, as it gives me that bit better flexibility when at gigs - rarely do I take a cab when supporting other bands.

Has anyone ever used this format of amp with the Warwick basses? How do they sound? Will I be disappointed? Am I barking up the wrong tree?!

Cheers,

Mark
