What is the maximum wattage on a head I can use for a pair of these 300 watt cabinets? I have a MB200...how much higher can I go?

Thanx...

Well the cabs together would be rated at 600 watts at 4ohms, I am sure you could probably run over that rating by a hundred or so watts and be alright, though realistically I don't think that you would need more than 500 watts to run that set up.

...just be aware, the cab's ratings are thermal limits. Depending on the frequency, assume the cab will handle HALF that wattage before reaching it's mechanical limits. You can use an amp of ANY wattage you want, just use common sense when the cab's begin to strain- turn down volume and/or low eq.

While this normally true, G-K makes their own drivers. The G-K drivers are not re-spec'ed Eminence, Fane, Jensen ect. I do know the speakers are rated in RMS input, whether thermal or mechanical limit only RAG can answer as they are built by his people only.
I do know I watched a guy slap and pop one (as in one NEO112 cab) with a 1001RB II turned up pretty darn hot for three hours before it gave up?

Depends on how judicious is your use of the master volume knob...
