Soooo, get a new amp, loads of power, hook it up....and my ears haven't stopped ringing for 3 days. High pitched whistle all the time.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Feel free to abuse me, I deserve it..

Love to know what the setup was. I still have some hearing left to eradicate.

What's so stupid about that, why did you get into playing music in the first place? Two reasons, chicks and LOUD music so rock on!!! After all, the hearing aids they are making these days are amazing, so you have that going for you!!!

Why should we bother - you've abused yourself without any help from anyone else!

Just remember one fact: you can't be a decent musician without ears.

I know this was meant to be jocular but as an old guy who owns said hearing aids, trust me there is absolutely nothing funny about having to wear them!!!!!!

I've started forcing myself to wear ear plugs again. Nowadays if I accidentally forget to bring them I might as well hang a sign around my neck that says "WHAT!?" for the next few days...

You would be pleasantly surprised what that little amp can push. Not sure about the cab, but I'd be willing to bet that the BX500 can push that speaker close to it's limits

Yeah, I could have used that $4200 for my hearing aids on some pretty nice gear......

The best part about tinnitus is that after enough times getting it, it never goes away. And fun stuff like beer, coffee, motorcycles, and even exercise like riding a bike make it wayyy worse. As amusing as the ripping Db and E thats constantly screaming in my left ear is, I really need a DeLorean and a flux capacitor to go back to 1991 and smack some damn sense into young, dumb me. Front row at Slayer was in no way worth it, even though it was pretty badass.

Yep. Listening or playing. Please always use your earplugs when playing, everyone.

Yeah, I find it really odd how a few drinks makes the ringing so much more intense, especially when trying to go to sleep!
