hi, ive got a possible deal on a peavey 2 10" 1 18" cab but the 18 cuts out. ive never had luck with peavey speakers but the cab is dirt cheap and i need some tens and i want an 18. anybody know where i could find 18" replacement speakers preferably in aluminum? i think behringer made an aluminum 18 but i dont know if they still do. im gonna replace the tens eventually but those are easy to find. this cab isnt something i need but ide love to play around with it and rattle my windows a bit (maybe even hit the brown note lol).

Per a recomendation from a very good sound guy I put these bad boys in my PA subs and I too am not a Peavey fan but they are absolutely amazing for the money.

Get ahold of Leland at SpeakerHardware.com.

He is blowing out his Definimax 18LF drivers... mine arrived yesterday to replace a blown one.

I built the cab specifically for this driver, so the new one is a direct replacement.
My bassist plays the 18+2x10 you mention.
Most of the time the crossover is the part that farts out.
Make sure, before you drop big bux on a useless fix.

BTW, that is a seriously heavy cab.. adding the 18LF will make it more seriously heavy.

make sure the screen in the magnet of that 18 is clean before you toss the old speaker. I have one of these cabs as well. Its empty. The last owner said the speakers were breaking up so he tossed them. I have a feeling they were ok. Do a quick search on this cabinet.
