Ok, ive made a few threads about mixing drivers and stuff and they all seem a bad idea... Ive decided to get another 15" to go with my 15" Ashdown combo.
I have a 4string, so no low-b needed here.
I tune drop-d sometimes though.
It needs to be 8 ohms and about 150w min.
Here are some ive considered.
Ashdown MAG115 Peavey 115TVX Hartke 115XL Ashdown MAG210T (if it was worth it)
If anybody has ANY experience with any of these cabs, please let me know. Thanks. |

You might be surprised, as sometimes "what they say" wouldn't work, might just work for you!
I've had a great sound with a 15" combo and a 410" cabinet. So when the combo died, I basicly got a separate 15" cabinet to maintain what I liked about it in my sound. Different amp(s) though! |

Mixing different drivers of different brands would turn out less than great, so I'd check out anything that's Ashdown & within your pricerange. Happy hunting! |

Will a 210 give me some ball-rattling bass though? I love the brightness, but i need some low end too
Other than that, its definitely gonna be Ashdown 115 or 210 |

However, after actually looking, the 210 also has a tweeter. The 115 does not. It appears that they were intentionally voiced differently. If you combo is tweeterless, the 15 might be the way to go. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
