What Amp Combo do you own?

I read a lot of threads talking about what is the best amp combo, or giving opinion about a singular amp combo, or telling what amp combo would be good for different kind of music, or asking which amp combo suggest, etc... But I didn't see any thread where everybody shares what amp combo onws (well, the search didn't show me anything in the first 3 pages).

I would like to keep this thread about just amp combos (no heads, or cabinets, etc..)

Well, this is my question and maybe some of you would you like to share this with us.

Thank you

I like Gallien Krueger. Checkout the new GK MB combo amps. http://www.gallien-krueger.com/products/combos/ Loud, good looking, awesome tone, compact, lightweight, and affordable.

My favorite was the Acoustic 136. Loud, heavy, lots of punch lows mids and bottom. Heavy, even on wheels.

I hated the swr WM12, and pretty much hated the swr WM15. Kinda liked the GK150s, don't get me started on vintage or fender combos, though...

I think you are way way better off with a good light cabinet and a micro head. Buy used, and you are giving yourself a 60% rebate on quality gear.

Carvin BRX212
Our band hosted a "jam session" a few weeks ago. I had 3 different bassists play through this amp. All 3 wanted to know what that amp was after they finished playing through it. They all were shocked and amazed at the volume and sound produced by this "little" amp. One was another carvin user and the other 2 were SVT users.

Two:

Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0/12T combo. That's my go-to and gig amp.

And an 80's Fender Bassman 120 with a single 15" speaker. (Bottom one, with an old blackface Bassman on top.) That's for practice.

I have a Fender Bassman 400 210. I've had nothing but issues with it. Already replaced the motherboard once. I think the same issue has reared its ugly head. When it works, it does alright. I use it primarily as a guitar amp, so it doesn't get much usage. It's 11 years old with easily less than 50 hours powered up. I'm contemplating breaking it down and swapping out all of the electronics. Had I known then what I know now, I never would have bought it.

I've got a 20th anniversary SWR Redhead that was my gigging amp for a couple years till I started going direct. Absolutely love the tone and volume that 210 Combo and produce. Solid state/tube hybrid's are a win/win!

Ampeg B100R, best sounding combo I've ever heard.
Ampeg BA112, this one sounds good too.
Fender B-Dec, fun little amp.

I'm really happy with my Acoustic B200 combo. I don't have a ton of experience with amps, but I plugged into almost everything GC had that was under $500, & it was the only one without tubes that sounded good to me + had headroom to spare. On sale for $200, it blew away combos that were over twice the price. SCORE!!!

We play a GK MB210 (the top unit in this photo):

The combo amp is 350w at 8 ohms, 500w at 4 ohms. It can drive another 8 ohm cabinet, and that's a GK 115MBE on the bottom. The MB210 is plenty loud just by itself. You'll read that some TB members find it to be boomy, but you can EQ it nicely in just about any room. My son and I have done tons of gigs with it, and you can't beat it for lugging to auditions and practice--it weighs 33 lbs!

--Steve

P.S. They've changed the look of these combos to an all-black fabric thing. They're sharp.
