I knew enough to keep the head but the cab just weighed too much for me to cart around these days. I ran that cab and head for 12 years as my main rig. I feel similar to one of the other posters in that they'd like thier old rig for a home practice thing and newer stuff for gigs. I'd like to get another D410XLT4 and match it up to my old WT400+ to keep in my house for practice and stick with my current modern light weight rig of Eden WTX-500 and Bergantino AE410 for gigs.
The Eden sound was so profound in the late 90's and is still an amazing feel today. It's a shame the company kind of killed the brand when the old products were just so great. |

I was driving through a neighborhood one afternoon a few years ago and saw a woman carrying it out to the junk pile. I stopped and asked her if it was indeed garbage, then asked her if her husband knew she was throwing it out!
Serial number was 7xx, definitely an early model with the window screen material hand-stapled over the speaker.
The thing was light, sounded great, and was surprisingly loud. Worked perfectly. A year later I sold it locally on craigslist for $250 and still miss it to this day. |

1) Hughes and Kettner Quantum 600
2) Jess Oliver Tube Head
There's a bunch that part of me regrets getting rid of. I had good reason at the time, most of which was due to weight.
All Tube Love: Mesa 400+, Mesa Buster Bass 200, Peavey AlphaBass, Ampeg SVT Classic.
Others: Mesa M-Pulse 600 |

Although I have quite a few heads I gigged the Tfunk 750 for several years and was always happy with it. I assumed my Tfunk 550A would give me close to the same tone where the DB750 is just to huge - wrong. Perhaps one day I'll buy another.

One of the best amps ever IMO but after 2 lemons that died on gigs, I had to move on.

I don't even remember how I got it to gigs. Big SOB! But I loved it and it did have "the look" of the day. I'm talking very early 70s here and, perhaps, dating myself..
More recently, wish I had kept my EDEN WT400. This was a great unit.

Now that I have my stack at the rehearsal space, I need something to practice on at home. Found a little Bassman10. It's the worst little fartbox I've ever heard. So now I have another crate 8 incher. Not as good as the first crate, but it sounds better than the bassman. |

I actually had two different SB12's. the first was my first amp. I have them listed in the order that I regret selling them, but I still have way too much bass amplification stuff, so it's really more of a collector/hoarder thing than missing how they performed. |

That Henry 8x8 cab was just one of the greatest cabs ever wasnīt it for some reliability issues with the Celestions ( I blew speakers and often they rattled loose from the baffle)... but it did so many things far superior than what you find from todays offerings.
Man that was the best sounding rig.... and not that heavy really.
Well today I like my Tone Hammer 500 and 2 GS112s.
But sometimes I miss the goosed up 90s sound.
....maybe I should get a headlite...for when I am in Marcus mood

I had found it in great condition for $99 (!) Obvously, I made a great profit flipping it. It would have been a dream amp in my younger gigging days. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
