What amps can i play guitar through?

I'm looking at an Acoustic 220 head and a Peavey Mark series. There are alot of the mark series in my area that go for cheap. I'm tired of lugging my heavy tube gear around and I want something thats dependable and strong and I wont have to worry about hurting.
Will any of these work well with guitar? I love Acoustic heads and I think they're the coolest damn things ever. I just want to get an old amp, hoot it up to a 4x12 or 2x15 and unleash hell.

Any amp will work with guitar. None will sound like a guitar amp unless played through guitar speakers. As for working well, there's only one way to find out.

A Peavey Mark series and a big cab ain't exactly lightening the load kn comparison to a tube rig.

And yeah, you can play guitar through a bass amp and not hurt anything. As to how it will sound....meh. If the cab has a tweeter, bypass it.

If you are going to play guitar through a SS bass amp, I would suggest getting one of the Tech21 character series pedals and running it through that first. The tech21 VT bass is pretty popular for bass and Tech21's guitar character series pedals are equally well liked by guitarists.
