Just curious about what amps are TBers using for this kind of music.
EDIT: after seeing the first reply, I'll give some examples of this post-rock thingy. I'm talking about bands like Mogwai, And So I Watch You From Afar, Explosions In The Sky, Russian Circles etc. If you play that kind of music, please post your rig!

I've seen a lot of bassists in the genre use GK heads from the RB series... I had one and hated it for this style. I use a lot of pedals, especially overdrive and delay/reverb, and they just sound terrible going into a solid state preamp. My two amps right now are a Trace Elliot V-Type, and a Traynor YBA-1 (90 watt). I also find that 12 inch speakers sound much better with this type of music than 10s.

That being said, is "What amp for post-rock" the post-meme to "What amp for metal"? |

For what i play with my solo/looping project i'm using a Peavey VB-2. I really think anything can work as long as its flexable. Get something solid state and then you can afford more pedals
