What is the best Micro Amp that you can buy for Bass?

I have a marshall MS-2 for guitar, and the sound is... OK, but I'm wondering if they're is any better out they're, one the has more controls the volume and tone (an EQ would be great but im not getting my hopes up)

Shuttle 9 seems to be awesome.

Chuck this over in the amps section and you'll get more recommendations.

Largely depends on your tonal aspirations. There's no best per se.
My own best is the Markbass F500.
There are many good options besides this one however.

I wound up trying a number of micro heads before I finally bought one. The candidates?

-Eden WTX-260
-Eden WTX-500
-Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0
-Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0
-Markbass F1
-Markbass Little Mark II
-Gallien-Krueger MB2-500

Quick impressions?

The Genz Benz models seem to be pretty popular and readily available. IIRC, Fender owns them now. Either way, the Genz Benz heads are okay. I preferred the Shuttle 6.0, and it's most likely due to the incorporation of the tube preamp. But I was not a fan of the EQ section and the drastic changes that would be needed to get audible changes in tone.

Mark Bass? I've tried out a few Mark Bass amps. And on multiple occassions I've noticed that MB gear tends to have a particular midrange characteristic. More recently I used a Mark Bass combo as part of a house backline at a gig and I was not pleased. Especially when the input stage seemed to be clipping.

The GK head was alright, but ultimately disappointing. One that I tried in the store was not in good working order. And if it's not in good working order in the store, then how could you count on it to deliver at a gig?

I wound up going with the Eden WTX-500. I have another Eden head so I was already familiar with the control layout as well as the EQ section. It's also super portable. And when paired with my EBS Neo-112, it's a fantastic sound.

As far as calling anything "THE BEST"? I won't go there. I found what works for me, and that took a good deal of time and effort. I tried amps out with my bass and my cabinet. You need to do some legwork and find what works best for you. A thread like this will generate however many recommendations based on people's personal experience. But you have to be happy with the way things sound.

Hi.

Well, there's micro amps and then there's "micro amps".

If I read the op correctly, he's asking for the bass eqvivalent of the cigar-box size belt-clip 1W Marshall "stack".

If that's so, the Roland Micro Cube Bass RX may fit the need just fine.

If budget is not an issue, my fave so far is the RH450 by TC, which I have upgraded to the 750.
