Especially in a live sound situation.
And a Bergantino NV610 will replace your Ampeg 810 pretty darn close. The Berg is smaller, lighter, and still has the tiltback'n'roll design.

note: on the down side, the pn series are VERY expensive. |

That said, I totally understand what you mean about dialing in a tone as close to your sound with the equipment available. But that said tone is still coming from your EQ, not your fingers.

JMHO. | What tubes would you put in the Streamliner to get close to the SVT tone?

I know that no matter what gear I'm playing through I know what I like, and I inevitably wind up setting the amp/bass/tweeter control to sound how "I LIKE IT." I do the same thing with pedals, basses, amps, strings, cabs, etc... there is a sound that I like and I naturally gravitate to it whether I know I'm doing it or not. For me, "MY TONE" is in "MY EARS." No, not all amps, basses, strings, pedals, or fingers sound the same, but I'm always searching for "my tone" with whatever I have to work with, and I'd be willing to bet most of you on here would agree. |

I don't have much Money, What is the most amazing Bass set up out there? Thanks! | Before you sell the Head...try a Traynor 8-10. Twice the cab the ampeg is. I 've tried one. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
