I have an Eden Wt405 amp head and a single Aggie GS112. I need a little more volume. I can add another GS112 but has anyone tried a different 12" cab with good results? I'm thinking that perhaps a lightweight 12" cab would be a nice 'go to' cab for portability but still sound good with the Aggie when needed. A new SL112 is out of my price range.
Any working experience with a similar set-up?
Also is there any reason another GS112 with a tweeter wouldn't match up fine, if I go that route. I don't need to have the GS112NT do I? Just turn the tweeter off? If it is that simple why did they build the two cabs? Cost saving to the consumer?
Thanks for any input. |

I have considered one more cabinet, but seriously, I don't need one. When I play through all three, buildings crumbles.
I would say another GS112 or GS112NT.

I have heard of people using a GS112/DB112 stack with good results, but never heard one myself.

I have 4 of the GS112s and usually rely on just a pair of them. The flexibility of multiples of the same cabs is very nice and the second cab whether it be an 'S' or 'NT' really...really makes a tremendous difference with these little beasties. Very deep. Very loud.
